I am a Southern Maryland-based photographer with 20+ years of experience covering action sports, family milestones, headshots, and portraiture, including seniors and newborns.    In addition to my sports work, I enjoy creating senior and team banners, and team and individual portraits for various leagues in the area.

My journey into photography began while dabbling with a "polaroid", then to a "disk" point and shoot camera shortly after high school.    Once I began raising a family, it all changed.    I wanted to capture every milestone, laugh, hug, effort, and smile.    Purchasing my first "Nikon" in the 80's...yes the 80's, I started with film, and quickly moved to digital.    I still appreciate the film craft and have fond memories working in the darkroom and watching my images come to life.

I have been blessed to work with schools in the area, (Huntingtown, Calvert, Mill Creek, Plum Point), published in SOMDNEWS, and had the honor of working with local youth leagues such as the Prince Frederick Eagles, Huntingtown Hurricanes, Solomon's Steelers and UA Rise (Flag).    I have made forever friends from families and people that started as clients.  And for that, I am forever grateful.

My approach is personal.    I build relationships, I can't imagine a once-and-done kind of business, as I want us to make the journey together, building life long bonds with families, athletes, administrators, coaches, parents, and businesses.    I want us both to be able to look at an image 10 years from now and remember the exact moment and recall the story the image tells.

When not behind the camera my happy place is at the ocean, and my happy people are my family.    I hope I am never too busy to grab a moment with clients (who almost always become friends), learn what's been going on in their world, or simply listening to the giggle and screams of the littles that grace my world each and every day.
